Our commitment

The City of Rayne is committed to ensuring that its website and digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone in our community should be able to find information and conduct business with the city independently and with dignity.

Accessibility standard and current status

Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, including the WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local government websites under ADA Title II.

Full conformance has not yet been established. The website was reviewed on September 9, 2026 using automated checks and manual keyboard and responsive-layout checks. A complete assistive-technology review and document remediation remain necessary.

Known limitations

Some meeting records, maps, applications and other downloads are original scanned or untagged documents. They may lack readable text, headings, form labels or a logical reading order. Online utility payments are provided through MyGovHub, which requires a separate accessibility review.

Ongoing review

New pages and uploads need accessibility checks before publication. Automated checks alone cannot verify every requirement. Document reading order, alternative text, captions where applicable, and use with assistive technology also require human review.
